Auld Scotland Tartan

This tartan was created to celebrate Scotland's national bard, Robert Burns. The Auld Scotland name is taken from a line in the final verse of Burns's address to a haggis.

The muted colours and earthy tones in the design have strong associations with the Ayrshire countryside; pale wheaten colours feature prominently, reflecting ripened barley and oats, the primary ingredients of whisky and haggis which are integral parts of every Burns supper.
