The popular Flower of Scotland tartan was created to commemorate Roy Williamson of the Corries, who wrote both the music and lyrics for “Flower of Scotland,” the stirring (unofficial) national anthem of Scotland, which is sung with such pride and passion at international matches of the Scottish National Football team and Scottish National Rugby team.
