Ulster contains counties Antrim, Armagh, Cavan, Derry, Donegal, Down, Fermanagh, Monaghan and Tyrone. Counties Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal are in the Republic of Ireland and the remaining six form present day Northern Ireland.
The Ulster tartan is mustard yellow, khaki, red and black. This tartan design is based on fabric found in an Ulster peat bog which was dated to the late 1500s. Samples and material can be ordered on this page.
