Our premium, hand-crafted, pure new wool Scottish tartan handfastings are ideal for your big day. Whether you are having a traditional wedding ceremony, civil partnership, humanist, celebrant-led ceremony, or renewing your wedding vows, these handfastings are perfect. The ancient handfasting ceremony can be used by people of any faith or belief system, those who are spiritual, and those who are non-religious. The ceremony is rich in symbolism. By binding the hands together and joining in union, you are declaring your love and commitment to one another.

Normally, two different tartan handfastings are used in the ceremony. If you have no clan or family tartan of your own, one of the universal tartans such as the Black Watch, Spirit of Scotland, or Royal Stewart can be used.
