Heavyweight Tartan Upholstery Fabric

This range of over 600 premier quality heavy weight 16 oz Scottish woven tartans includes many of the rarer Clan and family patterns.

This hard-wearing 100% pure new wool fabric is natural, breathable, fire-resistant, anti-pilling and non-bobbling. The twill weave material has a high thread count, making it opaque and durable. We have had clients use our fabrics to upholster vintage, antique and modern sofas, couches, armchairs, footstools, ottomans, chaise longues, window seats and headboards! Upholstered fabric walling is another use for this material, it creates a luxururious elegant look and softens the harsh acoustics many modern rooms have. It's also widely used by auto-upholsterers to create custom car interiors. We've even had the material used for reupholstering boat and aircraft interiors.

Our double width (1.4 metres wide) Scottish tartans are sold by the metre (1.1 yards)  in length. Size 1m x 1.4m (39 inches x 55.1 inches). If you order more than a metre of tartan fabric we will supply as a continuous length.
