Our Thor's Hammer, or Mjölnir, pendant is made from polished pewter and sits on an adjustable black leather thong necklace. Thor was the powerful red-headed Nordic warrior god of thunder, famed for battling giants, trolls and serpents with his hammer. He gave his name to our Thursday (Thor's Day).

The pendant is a replica of an intricately decorated Mjölnir pendant found on the Island of Oland, off the South East of Sweden. In ancient times Thor's hammer amulets were worn for luck, to provide strength and to protect the owner from harm.

Just ideal to connect to my Celtic Heritage

My ancestral folk STOPPED the Vikings at Largs. Makes me proud to know that. The Vikings appreciated that too, and settled on the Clyde, showing respect to my forebears. In honour of this cultural cross pollination, I identify as Celt/Viking Stock. I wear my Thor's Hammer in honour of my antecedents: the fact it suits me is pure bonus.

I bought this Viking Pendant to wear to Up Helly Aa on Shetland. It was a great night and I was proud to wear the pendant as my family originally come from Lerwick. Getting free delivery all the way to Australia was most welcome!

I love this Viking pendant, so many people have commented positively on it and two of my friends have also bought the same ones from this website. Delivery to South Africa was just over two weeks which is not bad considering our slow postal system.
