Our miniature Scottish Love quaich is inscribed "Till a' the seas gang dry" which is an extract from the famed Robert Burns love song: "A Red, Red Rose". The centre of the quaich is decorated with a kissing couple in the stylised form made famous by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Scotland’s renowned architect and designer.

"A Red, Red Rose", penned by Burns in 1794, is universally regarded as one of the great romantic songs. Burns declares his eternal love, until the seas dry up, the rocks melt, and the sands of life run out. Select the following link for the full poem: A Red, Red Rose
