This stunning large quaich takes its inspiration from the quaich designs of the 17th and 18th centuries. Quaichs of this period were normally made of wood and silver with an engraved silver disc in the centre which often bore the owners initials or a popular Scots Gaelic motto such as Sguab As'I which translates as polish it off, or drink up!
This large quaich is made from a rich dark rosewood which is intricately carved with a Celtic interlace pattern. The sterling silver mounts on the rim and base contrast beautifully with the dark wood. The silver disc in the centre of the quaich bowl is perfect for engraving. The quaich bears the clearly struck hallmarks of our silversmiths and also the famous castle and lion rampant hallmarks from the 500 year old Edinburgh Assay office, your guarantee of the finest quality and purity. Your quaich can be personalised with initials, names or a short message at a cost of £12.00 plus 90p per letter. We can also have images of your Clan crest, coat of arms, corporate logo, club, association or society badge converted into a format suitable for engraving. Crests and logo's are quoted on a case by case basis but a good guideline price is in the region of £60.00 inc VAT for the complete service.
