Castle Campbell, also known as Castle Gloom, or Castle Doom, sits amid stunning scenery at the head of the Dollar glen.

The castle, parts of which date from the 15th century, was the lowland fortress of the Highland Campbell Earls of Argyll, key players in Scotland's political and religious arena.
