This budget featherweight wool tartan fabric is made in the borders town of Selkirk, a main centre of the textile industry in Scotland, with a heritage stretching back many centuries.
The material is the lightest available weight of cloth from any of the nation's weavers. The eight ounce fabric weight with an open weave is perfect for making accessories which can be worn in even the warmest of climates. The material is an excellent budget material for displays and draping over tables etc.
Our fabrics are sold by the metre in length. Size 1m x 1.37m (39 inches x 54 inches) Weight 227 gm per linear metre (8 oz per linear yard).
