Our Scottish Love quaich is inscribed "And I Will Love Thee Still, My Dear, Till A' the seas gang dry" (And I will love you still, my dear, until all the seas go dry). The words are from the renowned Robert Burns love song: "A Red, Red Rose". The centre of this shallow quaich is decorated with a romantic couple in the stylised form made famous by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Scotland’s renowned architect and designer. Handles in the same "Glasgow style" complete this piece.
"A Red, Red Rose", penned by Burns in 1794, is universally regarded as one of the great romantic songs. Burns declares his eternal love, until the seas dry up, the rocks melt, and the sands of life run out. Select the following link for the full poem: A Red, Red Rose
