County Antrim
Twisting through the Glens of Antrim, past forested hills and boglands, visitors to this lovely county are never far away from the most impressive coastal scenery in Ireland. Through Ballycastle, home to the annual matchmaking and horse celebration of the Oul' Lammas Fair, past Rathlin Island, and onwards toward Dunclue Castle. The dramatic Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and the world famous Bushmills distillery are also favourite landmark for the visitor to this lovely northern county. None however can compare with the grandeur of the Giant’s Causeway, reputed to have been built by the legendary giant Finn McCool. From this coastline, Deirdre and the sons of Uisneach set sail for Scotland to escape the wrath of King Conor.
