Murray Clan Vintage Silver Badge

A magnificent badge/brooch in solid silver for the Murray of Atholl Clan. Fully hallmarked for Edinburgh 1993 and in fantastic condition.

The makers mark is RC, for Robert Crerar of Cellardyke, by appointment, gold and silversmith to H.R.H. The Prince of Wales. Assay marked for Edinburgh 1993. This piece comes in it's original jewellery box.

Features the Murray clan motto "Furth fortune and fill the fetters" and the crest, a demi-savage wreathed at the temple and waist with a laurel. The arms extended holding a dagger and key.
