Crawford Clan Vintage Silver Badge

This is an extremely rare Iona-made badge/brooch in solid silver for the Clan Crawford.

The badge/brooch, c.1950, is finely hand-pierced and hand-engraved. Marked Sterling Silver "Iona" Scotland with makers mark of JH for John Hart, a pioneer of Celtic revival jewellery.

Designed with the Crawford Clan motto, Tutum Te Robore Reddam (I will make you safe with strength), the Crawford Crest, a Stag's head, erased Gules, between the attires a cross crosslet fitchee Sable.

Would make a unique family piece to hand down through the generations.
