Cranston Clan Vintage Silver Badge

This is a nicely detailed rare badge/brooch in solid silver for the Cranstoun/Cranston Clan.

The makers mark is M&C for Mackay and Chisholm of Edinburgh, one of the finest makers of Clan badges.

Assay marked in Edinburgh 1937.

Features the Cranstoun Clan motto "Thou Shalt Want Ere I Want" and the crest, a roosting crane, holding a stone with dexter foot, all proper.

Would make a unique family piece to hand down through the generations.
